Hi,
I'm really fascinated by naruto fighting scene compared to Bleach. The fight look very detailed and full of action. I'm trying to capture the best moment from Naruto fighting scene, and this one are inspired from episode before Shippuden seasons.

I've updated their proportion and clothings to match them on Shippuden. So here it is, Naruto VS Sasuke. Its still work in progress, as you can see here the only thing that is done is the sky.

As you can see, there is a splash of water there, because in the episode in which I inspired of, they are fighting on a lake side below a high cliff, and they just came out from the water which they both being thrown down.

I'm experimenting different technique for the clouds, and I feel it works. I'll post more as I progress.

Comparison Wacom Intuos 3, Bamboo Pen & Touch and Genius Tablet

Hi,

As I stated in my last post, I'm currently attending a 3 month + training on Animation Pre-production. On the class, we were given the opportunity to use Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch that is provided in the computer lab. We also were given permission to bring the tablet back home to do our assignments.

Three of my friends brings their own tablet, one of them bring Genius M609, the other M609X and Genius G-Pen 450.

Curious with the difference, I've asked permission from them to test all the tablets throughly in Photoshop, while also playing around the sensitivity using the tablet driver control panel. Of course I also tested the Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch.

The specs for the tablets are below :

Wacom Intuos 3

1024 pressure sensitivity
Tablet resolution : 5080lpi.(line per inch)

Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch
1024 pressure sensitivity
Tablet resolution :2540lpi

Genius tablet, M609 / X
1024 level of sensitivity
Tablet resolution :4000lpi

Genius tablet, G Pen 450
1024 level of sensitivity
Tablet resolution :2000lpi

The spec written makes Genius and Wacom seems on par, but there is more than that. What is the most important thing in tablet is how natural we feel when using these tablet to draw something digitally. We want the feel to be as close as traditional pen on paper feel.

Genius use battery on their digitizer pen while Wacom pen doesn't need any battery at all. This makes the pen on genius tablet a little bit bulky than wacom.

I test the tablet by drawing a few strokes in Photoshop.
First thing I notice that Genius pen tip feels a little springy and spongy. Wacom Bamboo tips meanwhile feels solid and little bit hard, while Intuos feels just nice.

The tablet surface of both Genius pen feels like scratching on hard plastic. Wacom Intuos surface feels very smooth and a bit slippy. Bamboo surface feels just nice, like writing on paper.

Both Wacom Pen has dual sensors, bottom for normal pen tip while on top has a bigger pressure sensitive button for eraser. Both Genius Pen doesnt have that.

Wacom Bamboo Pen is shaped like natural ball point pen, with 2 sided single buttons that fits right onto our thumb.

Wacom Intuos3 Pen is cylinder shaped, longer than Bamboo Pen with rubber grip and 2 sided single buttons. The button is ergonomicly design to fit on the side of the thumb, but little bit loose fitting compared to Bamboo.

Genius G-Pen 450 Pen is closer to fountain pen shaped, with a handle to hang on our our shirt pocket. It also has 2 button, however the button doesnt fit onto my thumb perfectly.
Genius M609 Pen design is also like 450, but much bigger and bulky. The pen also have 2 button, also doesnt fit onto my thumb, it is place higher than my thumb when holding the pen in natural way.

The brush strokes produced on both Genius is quite good, with variety of strokes width as I play with my hand pressure. However, as the pen tilt 60 degree to 180 degree, the pen fails to register. The strokes that I draw snaps into pieces as the pen tilt. This is quite annoying as most people will never hold their pen at 90 degree straight. The problem can be repeated over and over when drawing a curved stroke, where the pen tilted as our hand rotates.

Both Wacom intuos and Bamboo doesnt have this problem. Intuos has a tilt sensor to simulate a natural brush bristle that has uneven surface at different angles, while Bamboo doesnt.

From my test, I have decided that I prefer Wacom tablets better than Genius. Genius is good, but Wacom is better. Wacom Pen feels much more natural in my hand than Genius Pen. The pen tilt issues on Genius pen annoy me the most, while I have no problem with Genius Pen pressure sensitivity.

I recommend Intuos series the most, with Bamboo Pen and Touch 2nd. If you want to buy a tablet with tight budget, I really suggest you try getting a second hand Wacom tablet instead of Genius.

Scenery background - Recreational Park

This is actually an artwork done in November 2010. It is based on a really nice recreational park, Taman Rakyat, Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was created as a background for an animation that I am working on. It takes 4 days to complete, done with Wacom in Photoshop.

The process are quite the same as my previous work, Inside a forest (I know its a lame name but who cares. haha..)

I start with a simple sketch, and then I draw using Negative space technique, closely follows the reference photograph. Note that I do not trace the photograph at all.

Then I paint the rock shape on the rock wall using basic paint bucket tool. Next I create a new layer on top of the rock layer and add a texture using brush tool. I then set the layer to clipping mask. Walla, the rock is now textured. Next I paint the dry leaves using plain brown. For the ground just side of the leaves, I use
plain brownish color and stroke a slightly dark brown horizantal lines over and over to simulate ground texture.

I enhance the rock wall with green random strokes and dark shadow to simulate dirtiness. For the bushes at the top of the rock wall, I paint a plain green for the base color.

I add a yellowish green on some leaves to simulate depth and the sun shines. I copied the line art layer on top of the color layer to darken the bushes. It also increase the sharpness and contrast of the bushes.

For the 3 steps above, I enhance the light and dark areas of the bushes, and paint some branches of some trees in the bushes

Just like the bushes on top of the rock wall, I paint brightest area of the leaves with yellowish green and dark green for the shadow area. I then copy the line art layer and paste it on top of the color layer.

For the cliff between the upper bushes and the bushes on top of the rock wall, I use soft painting technique, where I define the texture of the cliff using brush strokes. I start with yellowish brown as the base color. Then I use the color picker and choose slightly dark color to define the cliff texture. After that I choose slight brighter color than the base color to define the cliff contour that receive the sunlight.

Once done, I proceed with the forest on top of the cliff, behind the upper bush. I define the forest with soft painting technique too as I stick with my previous paint style where I use negative space drawing on for the foreground while the background I've used soft painting.

The trees on the forest are painted one by one for the first few, to make sure they are unique to each other and the details are clear. Then the far forest at the left of the canvas was done as a clump, because details are not clearly seen on such distant.

Then I paint on the sky. Its experimental so I'll not cover the details here.
Hopefully anyone who read this can learn my digital painting technique that I use here. Any comments and questions are very welcomed.

Hi,
Happy New Year everyone.
Its already 2 month since my last post, but that doesn't mean I sit idle okay. I'm currently working on a personal project, which is a 2D animation, which is similar to japanese anime. The plans starts since last august as far as I can remember, but while the production start, I always go back to the planning stage. This is because I want to make sure that the story is good enough, the storyboard is working so that the animation can be accepted by the audience.

The story part is always my weakness. I want to create a sci-fi kind of story but due to the animation length constrains, the story need to be revised back and forth to make sure audience can understand. I'm working alone, so the longest animation that I can do with at least the same quality as the japanese anime may be quite short, maybe around 20-30 minute.

Last time my friend from facebook has refered me to a training set by a a goverment agency, named Multimedia Development Corporation (MDEC), under trade name CGSkill. They provide a free class which are Pre-Production, Games art and 3D Animation. The training offer came right on the time as I just graduated from my Uni, but then I have to choose only one.

I decided to take the offer, and I choose Pre-Production. The reason is that I dedicated to develop my own 2D anime styled animation and those other two courses are more to 3D. Pre-Production covers Scripting and Storyboarding which is essential for creating an animation. Im not sure whether they covers the concept art and model sheet but they do said they have sketching class.

Anyway I still have a long way to go, and this is just a beginning.

Scenery background Project - Inside a forest

Hi,

I’m currently searching for the best method to produce a scenery background. Same as previous garden artwork, this artwork are created using negative space method. The method allows me to draw exactly want I have in mind, which provides a very solid drawing for me to paint later. The drawing is made in detail which help to hasten the coloring process later. The background mountains, sky and the ground are made using soft painting method.
Software used are photoshop cs4 with wacom intuos 3 tablet. Below are the breakdown process.

First, I sketch down the forest that I have in mind.

Next, I draw using negative space method. This drawing took around 2 days to complete, but because of lot of work to do, this was not done in consecutive days. The left forest was done on 23th of October, while the right part was done on 29th. Notice the difference, the left one is darker than the left part. The huge gap of working time contribute to this inconsistency.

Finally, the coloring part. Thanks to the detailed drawing, the painting took a relatively short time, plus easier than direct painting method. The direct painting method is where we draw a simple sketch and then paint in detail. Painting creates a large stroke of colors, which is not helpful when creating details. Below is the painting I made before I learn this new method.

The finished artwork are the first picture on the post.
I still got a long way to learn.Just to let you know I'm writing this not only to showcase nor to share my artwork, but this is also serve as a guideline for me in the future. Hopefully I can improve a lot more in the future.

Scenery background Project - Garden

Hello,

I've just completed a background scenery which I inspired from a beautiful garden in Bukit Tinggi 3 - Parklands in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Actually I'm experimenting a new method (to me) called negative space drawing. More about it can be read here: Sibleyfineart .

Below is the picture which I used for reference :

Because I'm still new in that drawing method, I have difficulty using it for too long. For example, I started with the center hedges. Drawing the details took around 2 hours+ and when I finish on that part and try to work on the rightmost hedges, the details vary and look really sketchy compared to the previous one as shown below (click to enlarge)

Of course I frustrated and stop working for that day. The next day I redo the rightmost hedges from scratch again.

The details are now on par with the center hedges. It really satisfied me. The rest except the background are done using similar method but I keep a long break before I start the next part. It took 3 days to complete the artwork.

The drawing are a little bit tilted like on a hill so I ignored the rest of the elements on the picture and decided to do a simple background.

The background are the last part that I do and I use a simpler soft painting method. It took around 45 minutes to complete. At first I do afraid the soft painting wont fit the sharp high contrast foreground but after completing it, I think it justified the overall painting, from sharp closer foreground to soft blurry background. Well it might be my excuse for my laziness but hehe who cares.

I'm aiming to draw a background in 1 day limit as I'm planning to use a lot of them on my project later.

As usual the tools used are :
Photoshop CS4
Wacom Intuos 3 PTZ 930

K-ON Fan-art Wallpaper

Salam and Hi there,
Somehow I got a mood to do a fan art again. After a few search. I've decided that K-ON should be the one. I get inspiration from its Opening sequence where the character jumps from the stairs.
Then I screencaps the video and start sketching up the characters. As usual all done in Photoshop using tablet for drawing.

I thought I've done the best composition for the character. Somehow I decided to post it in my facebook. Later, I got comments from fellow friends which I've tagged them.
They complaint about the missing of Azusa.

"Huh? who is that?" said my self..

Unfortunately I only watch up to episode 5 of the first season at the time. To find out who is Azusa I then dig in the 1st season of K-ON stored in my harddrives.. Its already too late at that time so I decided to watch it tomorrow.

The next day I continue to watch K-ON from episode 6 until 8. Well thats all I have for the first season but lucky enough Azusa does come-in in episode 7. After finish watching I then capture a few reference of Azusa.

The sketch was done at 1024 x 576 pixel which is quite a low resolution. This is done intentionally because drawing at low resolution limits the pen stroke that photoshop captures, simulating sketching on paper. After sketch, I upscale the artwork to 1920 x 1080 pixel, then re stroke the artwork again.

The finished artwork is on the first picture posted above.

Tsubasa Chronicle - Kurogane VS Kamui

Hi,
Above is my last wallpaper artwork which dated back at 6 Nov 2008. It is a fan-art based on the OVA of Tsubasa Chronicle - Tokyo Revelation. The movie is awesome, and I love the batle scene between Kurogane and Kamui. So I decided I should make this a wallpaper.

The development of this wallpaper was a major milestone to me.
I've learn how to :
1) Painting rocks, ground and dirt from scratch
2) Create a believable sky.

The process of creating the wallpaper :

1) Sketch. I use Wacom to draw in Photoshop.

2) Then I start painting in base color.

3) Then I start detailing the ground by painting in some rocks.

4)More detailing process.

5) I add light shines over the rocks and objects according to the light position.

6) Then I paint in the clouds. I also colors the tower at the back.

7) Done with the background, I then block in colors for the character.

8) Then I start coloring the character

9) I decided to change the sky as it looks fake. I use real cloud brush for photoshop to replace the old cloud. I also modify the sky color to more dramatic.

10) Based on comments in Animewallpapers and lowyat forum, I improvised the composition where I reposition the character and the tower. The final version of this is the first picture i posted on this post.

I hope this process breakdown may help someone who wish to do a digital painting or anything related.

Fanart Wallpaper - Sawada Tsunayoshi XGlove Version Vongola Ring

Hi guys, its me again after a long dawn. Sorry didn’t update the blog much but Im still working with my artwork. To date I’ve created 3 wallpapers and 2 of it has been submitted to Animewallpapers.com. I like the AW.com forum very much because there are very good users that give me a good critics here and there, which help me to improve my work very much.

Okay so let me introduce my first of the 3 artwork I’ve done lately. Introducing Fan-artwork from Katekyoushi Hitman reborn, Sawada Tsunayoshi Xglove version vongola ring. The background is created using 3D Studio Max but because I’m still learning the software so the output from the 3D were edited heavily using Photoshop. Below is the step by step how I do the wallpaper.

As usual, I do the pose skeleton first, then the rough body sketch, and finally refining it based on screenshots.

Coloring process is quite easy as the screenshot provide good enough details for me to refer from. Plus the character is quite simple.

For the background, I try to draw a factory scenery from the photo I got from the net but the result are not very satisfying, so I make my mind and do the background with 3D instead.

So here is the 3D version of the factory. Created with 3Ds Max the modeling process goes very smooth but because I’m still learning the software so the output from the 3D were edited heavily using Photoshop. The end result is as seen on the first picture posted above.

Lost of artwork source files

Hello, here is me again after a month since last post. So my past 2 days reveal my deepest nightmare, which is the lost of my latest artwork source files PSD. Where did I put it? Last time before purchasing new Hardisk I burned almost all the files and also numbered them. But last 2 days I just want to re-check my previous artwork on the DVD cake, I've count atleast 4 DVD are missing. This I notice after the I decided to do a numbering scheme! how about those hundreds of DVD burned before this?

Damn, if the DVD which is missing are not so important, or at least anime which I already watch then its quite okay, but unlucky me, the one which is lost is my own artwork which can never be re-download back!.

hah but something similar has happen to me before, which wipes a 400GB worth of many precious files and my own flash source code just because of faulty SATA power cable. Some says "backup your files!", but what if the backup itself gone missing?

My Favourite Food

This is my latest work done in my computer modeling class, which teach me how to use Adobe illustrator. In the lab we learn how to make apples, but I do my own favourite food instead. The green fruit there is Guava, the small dark purple is blackcurrant and the pink colored fruit is..... err I dont know what its name in english, but in Malaysia we call it "Jambu air" which direct translation to english is "water guava" <- haha...

Currently I'm not doing any anime type of work, as I'm focusing on learning 3D modeling and OpenGL programming as I'm taking those class this semester. quite boring and frustrating but this is essential for my future I'd say.

By the way, my fan art wallpaper is little outdated as I've modified somethings after several critique on animewallpapers. But I dont finish it yet (since May) as I suddenly lost focus to my work and instead I do many unnecessary things.... haha quite long to explain here.

The thing is I will always do something else after I go hometown when each of the semester ends (I live in my college hostels every semester). I do enjoy it but after the semester start, I always end up frustrating on what I've done before.. which is wasting time. Now I only have 1 semester left to study and I still dont have enough knowledge to reach my ambition. The university failed to teach me anything useful instead of stupid subject which is unrelated to graphics and multimedia at all.

What's the use of "Management information systems", "System Analysis and Design" and "Digital Logic" for me? Does that useful for 3d modeling? photoshops???

Hah nevertheless I know the truth is cruel enough and I've decided that I need to learn all those things myself. And now only 1 semester left.. which is exactly 4 to 5 months left. Can I learn all that I want myself? I afraid to doubt anything, so I just do it the best I can.

Fan-Art Wallpaper - Inuyasha- Waiting for a new journey

Inuyasha- Waiting for a new journey

Here is my latest fan-art wallpaper which I done after watching the 93th episodes of Inuyasha anime. Quite a good anime I'd say, although the story plot is quite simple, unlike Eureka 7 and Gundam series. At some point if I were to watch 2~3 episode in one shot I'll feel abit boring because the story pattern (on some episode) for each episode is quite the same. For rating I'll give 3.8 over 5.

I really impress on their background paintings, very well done and beautiful. The grass blades is painted in great detail, rocks and slides shows their characteristics while sky shows the beautiful scene when the sunset came.

I wish I could draw like that too.

So to potray their journey and their world, I create this wallpaper. The wallpaper is designed so that they just take a break from an event (let it be,say, after fighting with "Naraku" people). Inuyasha is tired after fighting so he decide to rest just here, and his friends agree. Inuyasha just about to sleep, while Kagome and Sango watch Shippo and Kirara playing together. Miroku watch the sky dreaming about new girl she just recently met.

Heh hows my story? Pretty good eh?

Supposely Shippo and Kirara is chasing a ball while Inuyasha suppose to hold his Tetsusaiga, but I just let it be.

Below is a step by step progress on how I did the characters and the background.

Roughing out the background

Add details such as grass, clouds. I'm using normal round brush with opacity and flow set to 20%~30% to color the background. This will result some blotches and textures similar to watercolor/pastel paintings.

Final results as the first picture above.Color level tweak was done, add some haze below the mountain, add some shines over the characters, and add some sunshine between the clouds. If you look carefully the character pose and lineart is slightly different in the final result as I fix them after I've been commented about the unnaturalness of Kagome and Sango hand pose. I've also re-draw the lineart of all the characters except Kirara (the cat) to make it look crisp and sharper.

Thanks for reading my blog.
Its been a while since i've posted updates in this blog. Although is that, I'm still actively
working with my artworks, which you can see on my deviants.
The update for the blog and in my deviantart is somehow repititious
but I'm using deviantart to post my latest artwork, where else i'm
using this blog to tell a step by step process on how I do
my artwork.
Updating both takes time so there will be a gap of update
time between this two sites although the update is about
the same artwork.

Okay~ enough about my personal problems, now its time for the artwork.
Introducing my latest artwork; Dark Keiichi - Bleach X Ah! My Goddess is
my second (sorry for my mistake in deviantart that I said this is the first, actually my Cloud VS kratos artwork is the true first)
crossover fan-art.

Draw in photoshop using tablet, then vectoring in SAI paint Tool and coloring in photoshop.

Below is a step by step on how I do the drawing :

Why I choose Grimmjow as his angel? because he's my favourite character in bleach and I thought he is more suitable to become an angel for keiichi instead of Ichigo (as I shortlisted to those 2 as his angel).

So the drawing took 2 days I think.. and the coloring takes about 3~4 days. Before this drawing I used to finish coloring my drawing in a days, but the result is a bit sloopy so I decided to relax my coloring time a bit to increase precision and quality.

The background is created in 4~5 hours, without any idea in my head I just keep playing around with plugin while experimenting stone textures as its base. After several trial and error the result is the one you see there..

The character did not blend well because the bg color theme does not match with the color mood of the characters as they was colored with a bright environment in mind. I'm still searching a workaround for this.

In a recent survey, a study of over 5,000 computer users concluded that people who use Intel powered computers have a lower IQ than their AMD counterparts. The study took place over a six month period and involved computer users with Intel and AMD powered computers of various specifications.

The test subjects were asked to complete a series of written and hands on tests covering basic computer skills up to more advanced tasks. The survey found that over 69% of people with Intel powered computers had greater learning difficulties and found computer related tasks more difficult compared with 31% of AMD. A whopping 78% of novice computer users with Intel processors inside their computers could not transfer and resize an image from a digital camera even with the the step by step instructions in front of them.

The survey concluded that AMD users tended to be more 'computer smart' and 'enthusiast' orientated having researched the market before purchasing their computer. Most people recognise the Intel brand and tend to purchase bog standard off the shelf computers knowing little about the details of the hardware. People who buy AMD are more creative and willing to adopt new technology more easily.

Just finish watching Kaze no stigma, I really love the story and the characters, so I planned to do a wall with one of my favourite character in the series.

the character was fully handrawn (fanart) by me, including the wind all around him. The wall not turned out as what I was planned, but I managed to at least show how his power looks like.

Below is a step by step on how I draw him.

Character Pose was defined with Poser, and the skeleton was traced.

Sketching its clothes

Draw his face, eyes, and hair

Detailing and cleaning his clothes

Coloring with base color

Shading was added

Add some winds effect plus its winds attack
Finished!

I hope to do more fanart wallpaper to brush my skills even more.
As usual, I used Wacom Intuous 3 tablet to draw on Photoshop CS3, and Poser for defining the character pose. The characters takes 5+ hours to complete, and another 3~4 hours for wallpaper it. This was created on 22 February 2008 at night about 9.00pm+ and finished on the next day (because I sleep) 23 February 2008 at about 10.00am.

The wall still need some refinements so there might be some changes to the wall later.

I just new in hand drawn wallpaper so I try my luck to do this.

Using Poser 6 software to do the pose of the character, the job difficulty was cut into half. Save it as JPEG and load in in photoshop. Then I trace the skeleton of the character with it. The reference for kratos was great, so it didnt took much time to draw it.

Unfortunately Cloud character is a big headache. the official character itself has 3 version, one from the original FFVII, one from Kingdom Hearts and one from Advent Children. You can count it as 4 I guess if you count the latest FFVII series "Crisis Core".

First I try to refer from Advent Children. the clothing turns out fine, but the face was a bizzare..

Not satisfy with how it turns out, I use Dark Cloud from Kingdom Heart for his head. Instead of drawing from skretch, I trace it out from the original picture.
Luckily I have a great reference for his weapon, so I just trace it.
Kratos sword is simple so no big deal for it.

For the background, it took many days for the inspiration, but the drawing didnt took even a day. Referenced from Tales of Symphonia OVA screenshot, I just move it in a suitable position and trace it with Painter. Then I added a big block of rock for them to stood on. The rest is just a simple photoshop filter.

Its not being critics yet by forumers right now (the day this was posted), but I feel great because the wall is accepted by the one who request it. He even give a rep to me, which I not expected.

New FF7 series come out! Named Crisis-Core - Final Fantasy VII, the game will come out on PSP only. Damn.. I wish I could buy a PSP rite now.. Arghh its my favourite FF series as I played the ff7 PC version before and really love it!

Introducing my latest wallpaper from Bleach, Kurosaki Ichigo - Bankai.

Currently being up at Animewallpaper forum for critics, a simple wallpaper showing ichigo in Bankai form.

The character was drawn from scratch using a tablet in photoshop, inspired and referenced from the series itself, when Ichigo first met with the Arrancar, in an attempt to save Orihime and Sado in a fight. See screenshot below :

Take about a day to finish it, my first digital artwork created with Corel Painter X using Wacom Intuous 3, and some lighting tweak with Photoshop CS3.

Originally created for an anime wallpaper (Ah! My Goddess - Tatakau no Tsubasa, on Animewallpaper.com forum )
but it does not really matched with the characters.

At least I'm starting to do digital art after about 2~3 months keeping the tablet without doing anything ahahah~

Hello and Happy new year, I hope its not too late... ahahahah

Many month have gone since my last post, due to my stupid timetable arrangement.. I didnt manage time for my blogging..

So many thing has happen to me, firstly, I got my first scholarship in my life, which is YTN (Yayasan Tenaga Nasional) for my studies, then after half-ing the money with my mum, half of my share was used for repairing our long serving Proton Saga car (since 1990 I think), and thats now my car. Half more plus my wages for doing a project for my college I bought my Wacom Intuous 3 9x12 PTZ-930 tablet.

To tell the truth, my mum was very mad at me when I bought the tablet because at that time my family has a financial problem, which is caused by our sibling want to borrow our money for their son wedding (which I hate most). Till today my mum still asking what is the purpose of the tablet and what I've done with it. Of course I use it but it takes time to produce something good with it..

Naaahh now about my car.. After send it for service(cost about RM1500 plusplus), driving the car feel as good as new car. But some problem occur including overheating (caused by malfunction radiator), Radio sounds like handphone speakers and some minor problem.
For the radio, I bought a second-hand amplifier which cost me RM50 only and install it DIY. The result, my radio now sound boom2 abit.. ahahahh..
For the overheat problem, just last week the radiator has been send to service and uninstall/install it back DIY. Now no problem.

Wahahah but at that day I gatal tangan and want to open the car spark plug. But because of using wrong socket (the thing like to open a nut but has longer grip which is called socket and a twister), I cracked the spark plug. The result? my car can only go near 60KM\h only and to climb bukit I need to switch to gear 1.. same like jalan kaki...

Back to the project...
Now after I bought the wacom (which is second day before Raya aidilfitri 2007), I still learning how to use it. Currently playing around with Corel Painter 9.5 Sofware to create drawings, but still at very low level..

But just recently (2 weeks ago) My 400GB Samsung hardisk PCB burned because of the faulty power cable. Too much valuable things in there, so I planned to recover it by sending it to RMA. My current OS hardisk only have 1GB left so its damn hard to do work especially using heavy software such as Photoshop and Painter. Till my scholarship for this semester banked in I can only proceed my work very little at a time.

Meanwhile, last week I just finish watching a 50 episodes fansubbed Eureka SeveN, very good anime, I could give 4.9 over 5.0 ratings!. It has very high moral values, science fiction anime that can be very touching to those who watch it. I recommend watching it! It really inspires me to my project and could be my greatest project guidelines ever.

Ahahah.. in the first post I've said that I will post the finalize version in the next post, but I've notice something wrong with the rendering with v-ray, so I decided to do some research on v-ray.
Misunderstanding the tutorial I got from the net, I wrongly use a 'plane' created at the 'Create' tab on the left of 3Dsmax UI assigned with a Vraylight material in the material slot. The real thing is I need to use light from the 'Light' on the create tab on the left 3dsmax UI, and select Vray lights.
I've just notice this after I follow a tutorial on setting up lighting with Vray. Below is the result of the lesson.

I try to implement the lesson on the logo that I said to be 'real' ahahahah...

- Personal Problems -

Although I've so much time in front of the PC, I feel very sleepy whenever I try to do a 3d, or read the tutorial about 3D, even though I really like 3D. This doesn't happen if I read something else such as about PC hardware, CPU and such. Maybe my brain is unable to accept 3D generated graphics... I guess..

But I'll try to proof at my best that I can to learn 3D graphics.

- Personal Thought -

Recently while I was in search of 3D tutorial, I've found an Indonesian CG community forum, and surprisingly their work of 3D is damn good. I wonder is there any Malaysian 3D CG comunity like them that can produce 3D graphics as good as the Indonesian was.

I hope I can archive at least the same level as they are soon in the future.

The Start of My Blog

10:23PM on 14 August 2007 I've decided to start a real blogging, instead of fake copy and paste one. Yep, I've done it, it's real failure attempt to get some money out of the internet, but hehe, it's not my style I guess..
But I'm not thinking to start blogging actually, but this is an attempt to accelerate my learning towards my dream. Heh you know what I'm thinking when this blog filled in later. With this I'm attaching a work of mine using 3Ds Max.

This is it, a Glass Uniten Logo created with 3Ds Max 9, rendered with Mental Ray.
This is the first time I created something on my own, instead of following pages of tutorial on the net. This is not the final version yet, as I'm still experimenting it. Takes almost 20minutes to rendered, I'm searching the net on how to solve this problem, luckily I found a renderer named V-Ray, that is extremely fast, and I've one that took only 20+ seconds to render, plus more realistic than this one. I'm not posting it out until I've finalize it I guess.. So until next post..
